What is loan-to-value (LTV)?
It compares what you owe with the dollar value of your collateral. We call it Debt / collateral in the app. A smaller percentage means less debt relative to your collateral.
If the same collateral falls to $600 while you still owe $300, the ratio rises to 50%. The lender may also apply a borrow factor that increases the debt used in its risk calculation; VAULT shows that adjusted ratio where provided.
What does my borrowing limit do?
A 35% limit means your planned risk-adjusted debt should stay at or below $35 for every $100 of collateral. VAULT also checks the lender’s reported limit. Your chosen limit does not guarantee safety or approval.
What is liquidation?
If your debt ratio reaches the lender’s liquidation threshold, some collateral may be sold to repay debt, with costs or penalties. Falling collateral prices and growing interest can move you toward that threshold. Loan Health lets you test price drops and proposed repayments or collateral additions.
How do I connect a wallet?
Choose Connect wallet, then your installed Solana wallet. Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, and other compatible Wallet Standard wallets are detected in supported browsers. If it is missing, install it from its official site and refresh, or use its mobile app’s browser.
Connecting shares a public address. It does not authorize a loan, a payment, or a signature. Never enter a seed phrase into VAULT.
What is the annual borrowing rate (APY)?
It is an annualized borrowing cost that accounts for compounding. The estimate for your planning horizon assumes this variable rate stays constant. Fees and future rate changes can change the actual cost.
Does the agent borrow or protect my loan automatically?
No. It explains calculations and proposes changes you can review. It currently uses deterministic tools, with no AI service connected. Loan Health refresh is limited to the visible page; there are no offline alerts or automatic repayments.
Why do I continue on Kamino?
Execution currently happens on the lender’s site. Verify your wallet, exact position, amounts, rates, fees, and collateral there before approving. VAULT does not prefill the lender or sign for you.
Why is ChatGPT sign-in shown for My loans?
The current server connection uses hosting sign-in for request limits. It is separate from wallet connection and grants no spending authority. Borrowing estimates work without it.
